Ah! (now is where I have to admit I forgot which ep Enemies was, isn't it?)
That was rather subtle, in SPN terms, wasn't it?
I also have quibbles about the ep, but mostly I thought the ep was really great. They didn't kill Pamela or change her character just because she's blind, and the boys didn't lean on Bobby, even though they would have, and OH DEAN.
Also, we need a new phrase for doing the nasty with angels, so we can be gleeful about it, like we were with the necrophilia last week.
You know what I really love? For all the talk after LR about the undercurrent of punishing the sexual female for being a sexual female? Pam is just as much the sexy sexy flirty hotass that she was in 4x01.
Also, that Anna the angel liked things like cake and sex.
And that she has MY HAIR.
Which will NEVER get old.
So.
John Winchester: stubborn old bastard who refused the offer every single time it was made until the day he broke out? And was then thrown in Dean's face at the water cooler while the souls regenerated?
That it was a plan only became clear after the execution of the plan, without informing the audience of it during the action.
I did really like how they did this.
And three interesting female characters in one ep and no one for sure died. Sure, Pamela is blind (but spunky and oh, Pamela, I am glad to see you have you back.) and Ruby is recycled and Anna is ... she could be alive. Snark aside, I did like the mix of characters in this ep. It felt stronger for it.
Getting your grace out?
Getting your grace on.
Wow, we're going to turn over a Supernatural thread. From ... complicated beginnings.
"Dean, you're confusing reality with porn again."
Dean = fandom
Getting your grace on.
"Hey, baby, I've been touched by an angel: can I fill you full of grace?"
Dean = fandom
According to our crosspost there, I resemble that remark...
John Winchester: stubborn old bastard who refused the offer every single time it was made until the day he broke out?
Probably, yes, though I think being completely ignored with no attempts to break him would maybe have been a worse hell for John.
