I much prefer a 6-7 week hiatus to the dreaded rerun/rerun/new episode/rerun/rerun pattern that typifies the Thanksgiving through New Years television offerings.
I think I prefer the longer hiatus also. More new episodes in a row build better momentum.

I'm sure i've seen that one used in conjunction with a photo of a really hated character.
Demotivators, too. Also lots of drooling and pictures of hot men and funbags, political commentaries, recently salutes to veterans, (and, annoyingly, happy birthdays and cheerer-uppers and full-length song lyrics) but all for/from TV screencaps.

Also, anyone that watched ER back then--tonight (after SHOW, so it is topicy) is the episode with Anthony Edwards reprising Dr. Mark Green. I had a big crush.
