And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Here's a different take on the rec thing that I've always wanted to ask: For those of you who have written SPN fics or made SPN vids, what is the one you're happiest with and why?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, I *love* the answers to that question. There was a meme on LJ a while back and I saved tons of posts where authors and vidders talked about what they thought was best, what they liked the most and what was their overall favorite of their work. Such fun reading though, especially the reasons.

Same here. Sometimes the reasons aren't what I expect, or have something to do with what else was going on while the story was being written or the vid planned and edited.

Because books.

Hey! That was one of the first things I told you to read. My list *started* with recs to you, actually.

::has teh dumb::

You did rec a lot of stuff. Maybe I skipped some. You know, in my search for the porn.

My favorite fic I've written so far isn't finished, and it's hurty and angsty. Which doesn't surprise me, and isn't much of an answer.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Amy, did you read the prequel to Cartography? Go Down you Blood Red Roses. And the sequel? Edges of the Known World. There's also a commentary for Cartography. Which, although it looks like the New Testament of the KJV, was an interesting read, for me. Link goes to part one, parts two and three are linked on the page.

Amulet fic:

Don't Look Back Short. Have tissues handy.

The Unspoken Dodger's take on the amulet. Excellent voices.

Bracelets:

Talismans

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I haven't written a whole lot yet. But!

Published to date ::koff::, my favorite is probably Coyote Ugly, which Bev linked up there a ways. Because it's my gift to SPN fandom.

However, as a writer (and damn if that isn't still a funny thing to call myself), I think the one I'm most proud of is The Devil and The Details. Because it turned out better than I thought I could write.

Oh, no, I didn't, Bev. I just read the three chapters in Cartography.

Amulet fic! Amulet fic!

Because it turned out better than I thought I could write.

It turned out awesome.

I LOVED "The Devil and the Details."

LOVED.

Thanks for the links, Beverly!

Welcome. The pimp hat never comes off, apparently.

The Devil and the Details was really good. Only the fact that way down deep I'm really very shallow excuses the fact that Coyote Ugly is my favorite of yours--so far.

Well, I did write it, after all, so... we can be shallow together!

Mmm. Cowboy hat.
