Oh, SAM. And DEAN. But he tried the knife way first!
God, Dean's FACE there. And how does JP look so incredibly beautiful after offing a demon?

And Dean saw him do it, and let him do it. I'm anxious to see what Dean's going to say about this. And what the angels have to say about it.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the angels are going to be insulting about it.
Well, one dick, one neutral.
I was iffy about Castiel's "goodness". Uriel sucks. I don't care if he is "on the side of God," he's like a manager who's risen to the level of his incompetence. He should fail his performance review. He sucks. And his management skills suck, too.
Well, one of them certainly was.
The confrontation between Sam and Uriel was great. And I loved Castiel admitting that he had doubts, although the surprise reveal of "It was all a test!" was a little too similar to the end of "In the Beginning," I think.
I still think the only way Dean has such an important role/destiny is because Sam does, too. Anyone think Lucifer could manifest *in* Sam? (I think I asked this before -- apologies if it was already answered.)
The Uriel/wing flapping/poof here I am effects were super cool in that final scene with Sam. Sam, for whom my heart continues to break.
That was a sad and ominous conversation between Castiel and Dean, there.
Oh, how I long for the conversation between Sam and Dean about Dean's time in hell, which he CLEARLY remembers. Lying liar who lies. But understandably so.
That's what I think, Amy. Why else would they be so worried about Sam using his powers?
Oh, man. That would be, um... I don't even know. Could be, though.
I think that's probably where they're going. In which case, arrogant angels need to be nicer to Sam, so he can keep control over his powers.
It comes down to it, I don't honestly know if Dean's hard-earned fear of being sent back to hell can stand against his devotion and loyalty to his brother. But I think we're going to find out.

Seems in line with God's fucked-upness re: Job (it was a bet! With Satan! Sorry we ruined your entire live and killed everyone you loved. P.S. I won the bet, thanks dude) and Jacob? being asked to sacrifice Isaac? (or whatever their names were) ("just checking, kill this lamb instead!")(I'm sure I'm remembering it wrong).
I didn't think Sam was going to be able to defeat the demon and so was yelling at Dean to grab the knife and gank him while he was distracted with Sam.
So creepy that Uriel wanted to follow their fake orders and nuke the town.
