If you have a fast connection and the hard drive space I'd recommend downloading vids that you think you'll watch more than once, a lot of times on imeem and youtube the compression means the picture quality isn't the best.
A lot of vidders have zip files, so you need something like Winzip to unzip them and I recommend VLC [link] for watching vids because it plays multiple formats.
Of course I'm a wee bit obsessive about downloading vids and I have 573 on my harddrive (some of those are remasters and originals so it's probably closer to 560 different vids).

I have a lot (nowhere near as many as you, askye, impressive collection) on my computer but I try to send people links with recs. Also one I downloaded from her corrupted and I needs another now.
I'm working on a spreadsheet of all my vids so it's easier for me to figure out which vids I have.
And I've never been to Vividcon! I'm hoping next year.
