I do think Sam has an argument in his favor that exorcising demons his way leaves the host alive, most of the time, whereas hacking at them with the knife kills them 100 percent of the time. Assuming that Ruby isn't leading off the host bodies and killing them offscreen. Also, I'm not sure whether to admire Dean's unwavering black and white view of what should be done, or to want to slap him upside the head for not even being willing to talk to Sam and listen to his side of things.

Oh the parallels are killing Sam. And he wants SO MUCH to be good.
That's the Salvation turnout!
"Stop the car or I will!" Fuck.
That was an argument too long in coming.
And I think one of the most interesting parts of it was Sam saying that if Dean didn't stop the car, he would. Because... how? By grabbing the wheel, or with the power of his gigantic brain?
There's so much great, heavy stuff going on, but it's still amusing me to no end that Dean is so proud of his new word.
Bah-ha-ha-ha-ha! "We're here to... save you... I guess..." "We should go."
Oh, I do love some good funny in such a heavy ep.
Amy, what's Dean's new word?

Little boy Dean wants to show off what he knows.
Those two breaking into the apartment was great. Those two actors do comedy so well.
Show does that mix of drama and humor really well.
Joss always did that well, too. A silly celebration and laughter and downtime with friends or a lover, and them BAM! Sort of the way life happens. You never see things coming.
