All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It was a wonderful answer. He'll be just fine at the conventions.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I just read the PopGurls interview with Misha, and a small, cynical part of me is starting to question how much of this man is for real. I mean, the White House intern and NPR stuff can all be fact-checked. But add in cross-country skiing and biking and kayaking and camping and snow boarding and house building and furniture crafting and he's a published poet... what else? Is he a cordon bleu chef? Does he raise sheep to make his own wool and sew his own clothes? Or maybe I've just given up on believing that one person can contain that much awesomeness.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The poetry can be checked too: [link]

See, in my universe, this part's actually all pretty normal and falls under Stuff My Coworkers Do (seriously: I swear most of the people on my floor do at least two of those, with three or four more common, and we've got published poets and a dude who's song's currently getting radio airplay in Belgium). But I work with a bunch of high-energy freaks who wear me out just by being. (The kind of personality with the drive to be a political intern is exactly the kind who'd take up a zillion physical and fussy hobbies. Not shockingly, we have some people on the floor team who came out of that background.)

Yep, and they're all over the company we work for. Which is fascinating and pretty nifty.

I was about to say something about you and your insane hobbies, but I just got done dismantling a perfectly good umbrella so I can re-cover the frame in a more aesthetically-pleasing fabric. So, y'know, pot, kettle, thing.

HA!

Did I tell you about the dad in my friend's AP parent group who SWAM to work? I guess he's a serious triathelete or something. Not sure which division he's in at the Empire, but swimming daily across the lake is NUTS. Maybe he only does it in the summer?

SAY WHAT? That's crazy. And dangerous, I would think.

Yeah, I didn't press too hard for details. I think I made the o.0 face and said, "He does WHAT???" a few times. (I think maybe he's on one of the teams that switched from the Eastside to Seattle, and was doing it while he figured out his commute plan.)

Anyhow. Crazy.

Also crazy? Three pages of hand-written notes taken during the third viewing of In the Beginning.

Which I should dig out of my purse and transcribe.

So YED needs to be invited in. I wonder what deal he made with Jess. Was the purpose to get to Sam again? Give him a demon blood booster?
