You are all bad, bad people. I am already reeling from an intensly unpleasant interview process... it turns out that the hours I spent being grilled by 4 people in person paid off in the next step of getting to spend more hours filling out forms online, many of which warned me that the company has the right to perform all sorts of background checks on me, my life, my credit, my history, my education, my driving record, and I think they can lay claim to my unborn children as sacrifices to the corporate gods... anyway, I came in here to clear my head, and you're all about killing off the Boys! Stop that!
Supernatural 1: Saving People, Hunting Things - the Family Business
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Where'd you read that, Amy? You can e me if you don't want to spoiler font it.
I can't find it now, but someone on my flist was posting a collection of JA pics going back to his soap days. There was an interview attached to one of them in which he says he's "not her, yet," refering to Deidre Hall, who he goes on to say can cry on command every time. He sounded like he was working on it, though. Handy skill to have--and now we know about the One Perfect Tear.
I can't imagine Kripke turning Sam evil. Not really.
I can imagine him playing with the possibility, however, and having Sam make some very stupid calls regarding his destiny. Now that I think about it, it would be narratively satisfying to see Sam be the one to break the deal-making pattern set by John and Dean. Breaking that pattern wouldn't be easy for him, though. I think it would be very much in character for him to consider anything that might save Dean (not that consideration necessarily leads to action, but it would lead to mucho angst).
Although it would make for a long summer, I find that I'm hoping for a cliffhanger. It just seems there's too much going on for them to be able to bring it to a satisfying resolution in one hour (or however long it is with commercial interruptions).

This is exactly my thought. I don't think I could be satisfied with a resolution that could happen in 42 minutes. And we all know that Kripke likes cliffhangers. (Helloooo semi truck!)

Believe me when I say that I don't want Dean to die. I'm just saying that unless they pull a) a complete hail mary that actually works, or b) get a hearty helping of deus ex machina from the writers, I don't see how he's going to get out of it.

Would you send that on a postcard to Kripke please? Just insurance. Oh and congrats on the interview progression! Sounds promising and exciting.

This.
Because Sam's already lived at least six months with Dean dead after watching him die every day for over three months. In the SPN timeline, this had to be within their last six months. Sammy's gonna SNAP.
I do hope he doesn't go all blue veiny Sam though.
I also agree with Anne W and Ailleann regarding the cliffhanger. I would rather drag it into season 4 than have it hurried. Besides the (Helloooo semi truck!) is what lets me not worry in this 'verse. The impala survived. "That's my girl, that's my good girl."

Me too, please. I want to be able to read it after the show Thursday.

You know I am full of the Ackles love, but that was one of my criticisms of his stage performance. He tried to force the crying, it didn't happen, so he wiped his eye. I cringed. I think that must be why he talks about the emotional episodes taking so much out of him. I think he really has to work at the "pain" that we see on screen. Kudos to him for his final work and how much effort goes into his product. I have much respect for both JA and JP for their work ethic related to this show.

I read it in someone's report from whatever con was last weekend. Either Jim Beaver or someone else said it -- I don't think Jensen was actually there. And that was about the extent of what was said, too -- no other details.

It's not really spoilery, except for what Amy said earlier in white font.

Thanks! And thanks for clarifying so I felt comfortable reading. ((hugs Jensen)) This show just is not afraid of the HoYay at all, are they? ((hugs Show))
Jim Beaver talks about the coin thing at Asylum.
