Maybe he wants to mitigate the smarm of playing Thomas Kinkaide.

Supernatural 1: Saving People, Hunting Things - the Family Business
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
So, when repeats start again - they start with Malleus Mallificarum.
Well, that at least gets the ugh out of the way. I don't think I can watch that one again, except maybe through my fingers, or from the hall.
I need to buttonhole a writer and wring out a story about a witch or pagans who help the Winchesters solve a case. I'm tired of the demonizing, if you'll pardon the terminology. It wasn't there first season, and I'm kind of curious where it's come from.
It wasn't there first season
Scarecrow?
Yeah, it was. But there was more creepy, less gore, and it was less gendered.
Well, yes, the "pagan god" thing. But there wasn't a prejudice against pagans across the board, that I remember. And I admit I may have missed it. But I keep coming back to things like the pentagram being protection *against evil*, and the perception that evil was evil, and pagan didn't necessarily mean evil. This season the two words seem to be treated as interchangeable.
Maybe it is my perception that's wonky.
remake of Friday the Thirteenth
I feel old.
Right? I remember watching it on HBO in ninth grade, for god's sake.
I hope it's halfway good, at least. I'd really rather see him make a decent *new* horror film, but I guess Friday the 13th has a built-in audience.
I hope the remake goes back to the premise of crazy bereaved mother killing oversexed "teens" rather than a shambling unkillable boogeyman .
Uh oh - bad news for the CW? - or those CW affiliates that are owned by the Tribune? (i.e., WGN!!)
I finally finished the draft of my Sweet Charity fic (Supernatural/American Gods crossover). I offered up a fic that was a minimum of 1,000 words.
The first draft comes in at 13,396. I think I met the minimum and then some.
Plus, I am reasonably pleased with the fic, or at any rate pleased enough that I'm not dreading the editing and revision too much.
