Kripke was quoted saying that he's pushing back the big S3 climax partway into S4. That he doesn't want to just rush over the arc he had planned, and that with advance warning they can tailor S4's arc to fewer episodes.
That's fabulous news.
In other news, my friend Liz is now thoroughly hooked on the show, having mainlined S1 and S2 over the course of three weeks. For someone who went in completely unspoiled, she was very quick to catch on to things such as the Crossroads demon becoming important, Gordon not being a one-shot villain (I can't wait until she sees his S3 appearance), etc. She's still a bit pissed off about Ava going evil and Andy being killed off, but I think she's in good company there.
There were so many shout outs to Supernatural during SCC last night, it couldn't have been coincidence. It made me all proud. Like someone was watching our little show. At least this is what I am choosing to believe.
There's like, a ridiculous amount of both shoutouts and parallels. It makes me do the clappyhands.
A nice, creepy little Supernatural/Constantine (movieverse, but it could also work in the comicverse, I think) crossover.
SCC made me want a scene of wee Dean and wee Sammie playing catch.
Except that they'd be playing catch with a grenade or a bottle of holy water.
I'd love to see Bela played by Morena Baccarin.
Nope. Not me. Morena's gorgeous, but as an actress, leaves me utterly cold.
Sad to say that I agree with Plei on that. Well not sad to agree with Ple. Sad that I don't love MB as an actress so much.
She managed to convince me of that annoying love/hate relationship Inara had with Mal, but has largely failed to do anything but look pretty in the rest of her efforts. I think she was out-acted by the kid that played Adria during her prepubescent stage.
MB played the third wife of a middle eastern man on Las Vegas. She was animated and energized and in the scene. Miles better than her turn on SG:1. She actually surprised me.
But no, I don't see her as Bela. Actually, I think Cohan's fine, but Bela hasn't been well-enough written so far. The whole concept of plunking a super-thief into the existing 'verse was jarring. She obviously doesn't belong, and if she's going to have an impact on the brothers' story, then she should have been less clumsily written in.
