When do we get that episode?
The Director's cut, please?

I'll be disappointed if we get the boyish, easygoing deferential guy he's been all along.
Of course, he really hasn't been easygoing for a while now.
Yeah. He came back wrong.
I do think this was a potentially huge character moment because of the amount of time that was endured by Sam. He would at least have PTSD after three months of torture, which is what it was for him. Then again, he said something about losing track of time so maybe it was more.
But it's his default presentation. I doubt that now he can even find that part of himself to present as a mask. Grief is debilitating, and even if the reason for it changes, the body has to go through what it needs to go through to recover.
I just hope the writers keep that in mind.

This. Thanks for being succinct-er than I was able to be.
Three months of "what am I am I supposed to do?"
Watching these boys today was a perfect Valentine's present. They break my heart so.
They need to do a really gross Valentine myth next year.

Oh, I think it was more, because weren't there at least 3 months where he saw Dean die on a daily basis? And then another 3 months knowing that Dean was being tormented in hell, as he tracked the Trickster. It may have been even more than that. (I guess I'll just have to rewatch, to be sure.)
Where are all the West Coasters?!
I rewatched and ... Sera *didn't* write this episode. Huh.
Wait, what? She didn't? Who wrote it?
