Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

this episode was very Joss-y for me. bringing the pain and the funny all in one.

the scene with them both saying the same thing at the same time had me laughing so hard i had to rewind a couple of times to hear everything they were saying.

Jared really brought it tonight. usually Dean is the one breaking my heart into a million itty bitty pieces, but Sammy ripped it out, stomped on it with his big ol' boots and then put it back in my chest.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I wonder how many takes it took them to do the conversation where Sam was anticipating each of Dean's lines.

What's funny is that earlier I was thinking that the Trickster really felt like something that wandered in from the Buffyverse.

Makes me hope we get see outtakes of that at some point in time. Wonder how many times they rehearsed that to get it right?

This. I like him and thought he would die.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

This is pretty much the way I'd expect Sam to be after Dean's death, if he didn't blow his own brains out immediately.

I know this isn't precisely an original thought on my part, but my belief is that Dean would be suicidal if he lost Sam because so much of his sense of self is moored in his mission statement of looking after Sam. Dean really doesn't know how to be alone. Sam, on the other hand, is a really fucking scary proposition if he were to be alone, fueled solely by rage and revenge with nothing to ground him. Dean pulls him back, keeps him from blaming himself, from being too much the drama queen, keeps him interacting with the world in a lighthearted way, and is his last remaining family contact or really, close friend. Sam, running on anger and with his psychic abilities going amok is a scary, scary possibility.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

wow, I just watched some of that again. Sam is telling the truth when he "swears" they won't come after Trickster if he brings Dean back. I'm not sure I've ever seen truer honesty when he says "yes." Man I wish this had been a Jossverse show so we could have seen the thirty days Dean spent in a hell dimension. Does it negate it because Trickster took them back to Wednesday or does it still exist because Sam can still remember that Dean needs to be careful in the parking lot? Could Dean ever remember under the right circumstances and would he have been wild like Angel when he returned?

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

As long as they drop him oiled and naked from the ceiling, I don't care how much he remembers.

Which reminds me, I was slightly disturbed that I found the bullet removal so sexy. I mean--damn, those abs.
