We have absolutely no canon information from Kripke or anyone about the amulet, right?
What I find so amusing is that knowing Dean's character--what? I know him in my heart--knowing Dean's character, it's probably some type of 'stamina enhancer' amulet. Everyone assumes it's a protection amulet, like the auction description, but wouldn't it be hilarious if it's a "chick-magnet" amulet?

The scene in Tall Tales where Dean stuffed his face with caramels? Not CGI. Those really were Jensen's distended cheeks. It was his idea to stuff his face, and he regretted it -- all the sugar in the caramels made his tongue start swelling and his cheeks go numb.
Ahahaha.
