SailAweigh, I had the same thought -- "now we have sympathetic feelings shoved down our throats," but I was hoping they'd be clever enough to pull off something with a twist. It looks like they might just be avoiding the issue all together.

This really is the Season of Sam. JP's stepping up to the emotional moments. It's kind of nice to see JA lay back a bit and let JP carry the emotional weight. I have no doubt that Dean's equilibrium is going to wear thin before the season is over, though.
