Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

Because books.

Stephen and I were talking about that the other day, actually. No matter what Kripke or the CW wants to believe, SPN is just not a boys' show. I should clarify and say that I mean a "traditional boys' show," as the networks would define it.

When I think about what he watches, and what my dad watches, there aren't a whole hell of a lot of boys' shows on anywhere, really. There's 24, the Law and Orders, I guess, The Unit, The Sopranos, Deadwood, maybe JAG when it was still on, the CSIs. (Okay, maybe there's more than I thought initially. And I'm leaving out all the sci-fi shows, which I'm not familiar with, and generally get a much smaller slice of the ratings pie overall anyway.)

But none of those are *just* boys' shows, either. I would be willing to bet even the Law and Orders have a higher ratio of female viewers, and the CSIs, too.

But SPN? Stephen loves it now, and watches it, but that's sort of self-defense, so he'll know what the hell I'm talking about. Same thing happened with BtVS and Angel. He enjoys it, sure, but he's quick to point out that he'd rather there was more graphic demon killing and less brotherly angst.

Art Crawl!!!

There was a spoilery thing in tvguide today but the good and non-spoilery news is that it looks like we're going to have a new SPN in the first week of January AND in the 2nd week of January. (Assuming that the schedule mentioned in Ausiello's column holds up.)

So, I think we've got one the week before Thanksgiving, one a month later and then two in the first half of January.

cues dvr

I can't even tell you the plot points for the last few years. But I could likely describe most of Lex's ensembles and when he had inappropriate oost with water bottles and farm boys.

Art Crawl!!!

In the past couple of years, those instances are few and far between.

Which explains my lack of interest in the show in the past couple of years.

Once Lex starting looking at Lana (shhh, her parents are dead!) instead of Clark, it got dull.

Still, Lex looks pretty and it only takes about ten minutes to watch my way.

Oooh, we're talking another show in this thread! Let's spin it off into a new thread so we don't get too many posts.

Yikes! My bitchy was showing in a terribly unflattering way. Apologies.
