Supernatural 1: Saving People, Hunting Things - the Family Business
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Yeah, having access there means shoutout namesake victims, not being able to get a character spared!Good point. I got a shoutout Dean-in-lurve and look how crappy that turned out?
Re the hunter's moon - it could also provide light for supernatural things hunting the hunters.
does it have to be a shot that would kill the possessed human in order to destroy the demon?
Wonder if it binds the demon to its meatsuit, therefore ensuring the death of both?
Maybe it wasn't the Roman ritual that failed, but just a case of Dean being sufficiently compromised that he can no longer use it.
I thought it looked like he just couldn't remember, but this is an interesting idea too... But then again, we've got people blessing holy water who aren't men of religion, so I don't know that they're big sticklers on the religious details.
I don't know that they're big sticklers on the religious details.
Their theology appears to consist of something scribbled on the back of a matchbook in a sticky men's bathroom.
So, no, not big on the details.
Was Azazel a literal fallen angel that had personal knowledge of Heaven, Yahweh, and Lucifer, or was he just the oldest, toughest demon on the block who knew the good PR value of an inspirational story?
The same can be said for Satan as well.
I can understand the ease of using the shorthand of what is popularly percieved, but it would just be incredibly interesting to find a story that doesn't claim that Satan was once Lucifer who was a bright angel in Heaven who got kicked out after desiring too much power/being jealous of humans.
Did they say that Lucifer was Satan? I mean, didn't Casey say that's "a human name"? Satan, after all, just means "adversary" or "enemy."
(Why yes, I have been spending some time on Wikipedia, why do you ask?)
Did Casey tell Dean he was wrong? Even if it's not Lucifer's name in the SPN-verse, if a human asked a demon to get Satan on the line, would the demon be confused?
I'm forgetting this as well, besides Lucifer being a god to the demons and Casey not knowing whether he truly existed beyond the existence of her faith in him, did she mention anything about fallen angel status or ruler of hell? Maybe I jumped the gun on my bemoaning the perpetuation of the Lucifer myth (falling into the trap of my own preconceptions) and Supernatural is in fact creating their own unique theology of the nature of Lucifer (the god thing is certainly new--to me, at least. Haven't had the pleasure of encountering any Satan/and/or/Lucifer worshippers.)
also, the hell? [link]
hours of mindless fun. vroom vroom! Flash, how do I love thee?
Azazel is totally mentioned in there!
Wow, somebody has been working on that site. It's been a few months since I looked at it, and now there's more stuff in the car you can mess with. Where does one go, I wonder, to get the combination for the lock on the false trunk lid? It's a series of three, three digits each. Also, you can submit your own stories to the HellHounds site. Kewl.
I could swear she said something about Lucifur and fallen angels.
