I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yep. Michael Masse. He's been in a lot of stuff. He was Funboy in The Crow!

oh shit! i totally didn't recognize him! he had a lot of guilt after that movie since it was his gun that ended up killing Brandon Lee.

Oh dear. I didn't know that. I hope he worked through that. He's a good actor, he brings a lot of nuance and depth to a role. Even a small role.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

He was Funboy in The Crow!

slinks off in shame as she loses all gothy cred for not recognizing Masse.

In my defense, I got such a strong Willem Dafoe vibe off of him that it was hard to see anyone else.

Because books.

Creepy hunter was great.

I think the only wrong note for me was the terribly awkward conversation between him and the other hunter, when he was trying to convince him to go out to eat, and they found the website with the boys' picture. That was ... awkward.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm really not happy to see Gordon again. I was done with him at the close of Bloodlust. Hunted was a nice callback/bit of coninuity, but now... I don't like the character, and possibly the actor. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed. We have a "war" brewing but I want to see how the hunters are preparing for it/fighting it. We have Ruby and now Bella, Dean's impending death and now we have a hit out on Sam. At this point Gordon is a one-note broken record.

It's unfortunate that both the hunter who wants Sam dead and the FBI agent who want both brothers behind bars are the only people of color, so far, on the show.

On one hand, both actors are very good, and I like watching them work (I'm only assuming at this point that Special Agent Henricksen will be back, of course). They're both convincing adversaries. But it's unfortunate that both of them are cast as enemies. I'd like to see some hunters of varied ethnicities that aren't rogues, and I would give a lot to see some strong women of color.

Not that either of those things are likely to happen on the CW, but they're on my wishlist.

not entirely true. the female hunter from the premiere was black. though i get what you mean. there isn't a wide range of people who aren't white on this show.

Sam's face after he lost his shoe and Dean asking him what was wrong was probably my favorite thing about last night. i laughed for a good long while.

I'm in awe of the blocking and choreography for the scene in the thieves' apartment. The apartment the size of a dance studio--but then they needed all that room for the gags. It must have been something blocking all the falls, trips, losing guns, finding guns, crashing into things. That scene was pretty awesome.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

OMG, I can't believe I chose this episode to miss the W&P! (The SO bought the hockey package, so we've been sharing screentime.) But I kept waking up because I was shaking the bed with laughter when I watched late last night.

Loved it. Loved the way the luck played out.

I think I'll like the mercenary, because it plays as real to me that there would be people involved that don't have the same motivations as the others. Up until now it's been mostly, demons, hunters, naive innocents. I like that it wouldn't have gotten past some people what was happening (like the massive denial in the Buffyverse) but that not everyone would be all, hey, war against the powers of demonic activity? Count me in!
