Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Evidence for blond!demon NOT being goody-good: she specifically said part of her interest in Sam is due to his being a potential anti-Christ. Sounds like something that might motivate an evil demon.

That scene of the mom putting her car in neutral and drowning her not!daughter - it broke me. Last time this show affected me like that was when Sam shot Madison (the girl/werewolf).

Even when this show is campy fun, every now and then they pull one of those.

Art Crawl!!!

That scene would have been more disturbing except that I just knew that the creepy child would show up again.

Because books.

Oh, I agree, Wolfram. And the actress played it so well, completely strung out, not quite believing what she was doing but so afraid and exhausted.

You know, I was racking my brain as to where I've seen that scene before, and all I could come up with was South Park - Butter's Very Own Episode. I'm sure it's been done elsewhere too. But even though the scene wasn't original, the acting and direction were spot-on amazing.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Oh my ... I really enjoyed this episode. The minute Ben opened his present and yelled (approximation) "awesome! AC/DC rules!" my first thought was Dean's your daddy. And I just laughed and laughed at the similarities (hot chicks in the moonbounce!). Then it got scary ....

The "Lisa Lied" discussion spawned a plot bunny.

My first supernatural fanfic, and directly from this episode.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The whole demon-not-all-evil thing troubles me: it has the potential to upend the show's worldview, but we won't know that till we get more information.
Oh, I expect she's evil. I just don't think evil all follows exactly the same game plan. But I think she's evil.

My first supernatural fanfic, and directly from this episode.
Fantastic! I shall go look.

What is even happening?

Ben: "Only bitches send a grownup."
Dean: (impressed) "You're not wrong."
Uh oh. Nice parenting, Dean.

I don't know. That's the kind of thing I find myself wanting to let my children know. Parenting is the job of rearing children to be adults, but some children need extra help in mastering childhood.
