Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I did! But refreshers are always refreshing!

Actually, you know, that promo wasn't too bad.

I kinda dug it. Maybe a lot.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Promo in tonight's ep? Insane that I will record a show that I own on dvd and just watched earlier just to see if there's a promo. Well, or like watching the Superbowl for the commercials. So, at least there's precedent.

Just clicked sumi's link. Thanks!

Art Crawl!!!

It's about 15 minutes in - if you want to capture it for yourself.

Just saw your link. Thanks.

I'll record the show so I can see it in full UnSquintoVision. Bonus knowing the approximate time when it airs too.

Though this relates to the promo (aired material!) and doesn't require it, I'm gonna whitefont my one promo comment: Katie Cassidy is way hotter in motion than in stills, damn.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I have so many other issues with where the 3rd season is going that casting is the absolute least of my concerns. They could act the whole thing out with popsicle-stick puppets against a tinfoil backdrop and I'd still be asking, "But what about the writing?"

1. Learn how to story-break. There is NO REASON to have your action climax at 9:40pm, and then have 20 minutes left over for talky meat afterwards. This is hourlong drama 101, and the fact they haven't mastered this one is criminal.

2. Work out your thematics in advance. If you want us to believe the characters are seriously questioning their ethical system, you need to know what that ethical system is, and what of canon already violates it.

2A. "Because it's cool" is collateral reasoning, not a theme in and of itself. Cool alone will not sustain a plot.

3. From the DVDs, it's reasonably clear that the writers fell in lust love with Dean. It showed, from halfway through the S2 arc. Dude is in desperate danger of becoming an Angsty Sue.

4. It doesn't have to go up to eleven all the time. It's better to make the eleven parts more powerful by contrast with a couple of threes.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It doesn't have to go up to eleven all the time. It's better to make the eleven parts more powerful by contrast with a couple of threes.

I want to embroider this on a sampler and send it to the writers.

Ah hell, I should just do one through four. Not that they'd read it or anything.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

From watching the promo: huh. I can see how I want it to go, I can see how the writers are likely to take it, and I know how fandom is going to react. I don't know the actress, but am I overly optimistic to hope they're going to take sort of a Buffy-esque tack with her? Though not in the Slayer-sense, more in the wee tiny blonde girly-girl kicking ass sense. If that makes sense.

Art Crawl!!!

juliana - fandom has been reacting like expected for weeks and weeks. The spoiler and media threads over at twop have been all about the bellyaching about the girls. So much so that the mod actually made a separate thread for them so that people could bellyache there and leave the other threads for other things.

I am already sick of it.
