Austin, the casefile is a piece of fanfiction, an episode-like story I'm working on. Involves Indians and weird deaths and rock climbers and is set in the deserts of Southern California. Oh, and Winchesters.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Ooooh, that sounds good.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Casefile is a type of fic. It is not a romantical-type fic. Nobody gets jiggy wit' anybody of any gender. It is a case file. And they may be my favoritest fic of all.

'Suela, would it be okay if I linked your Heart casefile? I love it so.

I'll be watching the first episode with my phone unplugged, a do not disturb order in place, and I haven't done that since Buffy and Angel days. omgsquee, I got a little excited just thinking about it. /silly

No W&P?

Actually, if there is W&P that night I may just watch and record, then rewatch and post with the west coast contingent. I have lots of trouble even talking (watching AHBL with Plei) coherently (squee and flail at WISASNB with Ailleann and a dozen other Buffistas), so I doubt I'll be able to type coherently.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

No W&P?

I used to be able to multitask like a mofo, but i don't think so anymore. i can W&P eps i've seen, but first time viewing i'm usually too engrossed to do more than interject "squeee", "aaaaaaahhhhh" or some variation there of.

There wasn't much discussion at Ginger's. There was flailing, and gasping, and Oh Dean!, but no real discussion. And aside from a few pithy comments about the unexpected ferniness of the forest understory in South Dakota, Plei had little to say, nor did I. Too busy absorbing for later analysis and discussion.

Beverly, I am a complete feedback whore, and therefore you are more than welcome to link to any of my stories, at any time.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

What tiggy and Beverly said. I could post last night because I had seen the episode. If I was seeing that all for the first time, no way. I might manage an occasional "OMG", or "ohnohedidn't", or "guh" but that's probably it. SPN is way too viewer intensive for me on the first go around. However, because I am in CST zone, I may do that watch and record thing as well and W&P with the West coast showing.

Oh, and thank you for explaining the case file type of story. I hadn't heard that before, but I think I might like it better than the romantic stories.

I'm not sure if "casefile" is an accepted term in SPN fandom; but I came into ficwriting through X-Files fandom, where the casefile was the gold standard for stories. Particularly casefiles that included some romance in them. As a result, I tend to use the term for episode-like stories in a fandom where mysteries are the norm, like SPN.

Now you are just taunting us that don't have new stories to devour.

My inner geek is shining through tonight. Do any of you know of a clock icon thingy to count down the days before October 4th? I think I had one for Serenity before it opened. I haven't searched yet, but I am thinking I want one. If it's already in some type of Supernatural skin, then that would be all the better.

edit: I found a generic one for iGoogle homepage so that may do for now. 54 days 21 hours and 9 minutes
