Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

the spoiler thread is as good place as any.

Or as bad, in that it's prime for people who go in for its designated purpose (TV show spoilers) and come out a little too knowledgeable.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

if people label the spoilers, I think that thread is people's best bet if they want a discussion.

And whitefont?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

What about the people for whom whitefont doesn't work? Like the people reading on PDAs and whatnot?

I really don't think talking book spoilers in the TV spoilers thread is a good idea. I mean, aside from being for TV spoilers, it's a hardcore no whitefont thread, isn't it? I just think there's a huge potential for unwanted spoiling.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

so are you all not wanting spoilers discussed at all here before Friday? I'm not sure the whitefont in Literary is working all that well either.

The whitefont in Literary is real?

But, yeah, short of creating a new thread for four days, anything is potentially intrusive on the unspoiledness, and I think we should just wait.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I didn't read it, but I think some of it is.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

No WF in Spoilers! For people who don't want TV spoilers, it's way risky; for many Spoilers regulars, it's not just a no-WF thread, but a no-WF refuge (and so other-than-jokey-WF is a pretty damn big violation of the thread vibe); for those who have wholeheartedly bought into the thread's "any TV spoilers" premise but may feel different about book spoilers, there's hardly time to weigh in before Saturday, and given our recent history wrt unwanted thread repurposing, I'd kinda hate to even go there.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Oh, fer...

I'm against ANY advance spoiler talk for HP7 on the board before Friday midnight. Not that I'm psychotically invested in the franchise or anything, but the chance for inadvertently spoilage is way high in any thread and people care about the stuff A LOT. They've been waiting for this freakin' book for *years* and it's two days! Two lousy days! Even with white-fonting, there are reactions around white-fonts, etc., that often give the game away.

If we must have pre-release spoiler talk, however, I'd say use the bookclub thread and announce clearly on the press that there would be spoilery talk in there. And white-font *everything*.
