I meant to post this days ago, but: We just got our first referral check from Powell's Books! So please do continue using the link on the links page -- it actually works.

Is Powell's better (for us) than Amazon? or about the same?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We got $27 from Powell's after years of having the link on there (we get probably $100/year from Amazon), but my assumption is that it's due to volume. I don't have the details to hand of what we get for what, but I know some people are anti-Amazon, so just wanted to remind them of the Powell's option.

What little buying I've done over the last couple years has been from a UK vendor (because my tastes run heavily to British pop), and I get hit hard on shipping and handling fees. (And I don't buy digital because of a fear of losing a lot of music in a computer or iPod crash.)

So, more affordable new music plus supporting the board? Made of win all over.
