I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

While I'm posting and we're doing some freeform nonaggressive position-staking

I'll take bon's lead. I had been avoiding all this and haven't participated in a vote in yonks because I only use the non-show threads. The show discussions make me crazy and I will only care about any thread formation IF it slows down the board or starts bringing in a ton of new folk who find their way into Natter.

Art Crawl!!!

The point that ND makes is that some shows he sees later than others -- but would his delayed viewing shows match up by genre? By who broadcasts them? Or by some other more personal means? And if others feel the same way -- do we have a thread of 4 shows that ND watches as they air and another of shows that I watch as they air and another for shows that Vortex watches on delay, etc.

Art Crawl!!!

Or we could have seven buckets - by day of the week that they first air.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Along with this-- all I hear this summer is not that the board does not work for a subcommunity, but rather that the board does not work for individuals for individual reasons. When that is the case, I'm not sure if there's a solution. Actually, I know there is not an answer to this. If natter or bitches does not work for people the solution is just not more threads, it's modifying what you expect from the board.

I don't think these smaller buckets are going to have enough posts in them to justify their existence, honestly. Plus, they would each need to be voted in, right? Who's to say that all of them would pass?

The big issue in Voting that had everybody getting all upset seemed to be that tv threads take away from Natter. How do multiple, smaller threads change this?

this is why I say that we shouldn't consider delayed viewing. It's too complicated, and this is just me and ND :)

I also heard arguments that Natter moves too fast and covers too many (other) subjects for someone who wants to just run in and talk about a show or shows.

Our wings are not tired

Ok here is another thing. How do we know that the new threads are really taking all the volume away from Natter. It could be the result of other factors or just a natural slow down on the board. Have overall posts to the board risen, stayed constant, or decreased in the same time period that Natter and bitches volume has decreased.
