Messages go to votes@b.org. They come from whoever is voting. Typically, I've put the vote (Y or N) in the subject line for easy parsing, but it can be whatever you want. How about "Buffista Vote: Y" or "Buffista Vote: N"?

Also, so as not to clog up the vote thread with things that have nothing to do with the vote:
I only check the music thread rarely, because I am not that in to music, but sometimes I like to get suggestions, but because it was brought up in the voting thread, I was able to join in on the bandom conversation, which was nice. I might have not noticed it if it wasn't announced, or read it really late. Which seems like maybe the music thread was a bad idea, because lots of people may have missed the bandom conversation. On the other hand, I am not sure that the bandom conversation could or would have taken place in natter/bitches. I mean, it has been brought up a lot, but we never got to have the depth of conversation that seemed possible in music.
I only wish it was practical to have a highlights thing where you could know what was being discussed and go there, but I realize that is complete not possible.

I can't be the only one who remembers the near-riot that occurred when something of this sort was suggested back in the day. (WX, I think?)
Actually, I remember, too, which is why I was careful not to say it was an actual suggestion! I really want it for threads I only visit sometimes (Boxed Set, Music, Firefly, Bitches)

I remember. Wasn't something like, whoever's post # is a multiple of 100 has to summarize the preceeding 100 posts?
Ha! I don't remember that suggestion/discussion, but from Steph's version of it, I can see as how it would cause... irritation.
Or else rampant cheating!
There was a thread on Table Talk that did that, I think. Not the forced summarization, but someone volunteered to maintain a digest version of one of the Mothers Who Think threads.
