We had Firefly thread on WX starting on May 15 2002, so several months before the show started.
Having said that, I'm still with the "build the bridge only when you're near the actual water, and then merrily cross it" or whatever way I can mix some more metaphors there that look like taking a hike outside.
There should be a clue as to the status of DH in May, as it happens.
"The Train Job" aired on Sept. 20, and the label on the archive for Firefly 1 says it began on Sept. 17.
Sept. 17 is when b.org opened for business, so there have been NO Joss auto-threads.
Right - Firefly was a holdover from WX.

I agree. I'd rather not automatically put it in Boxed Set either. To me, both those threads have distinct cultures and communties. I can't say whether it should have its own thread right off, but I feel somehow that a Joss show should be more available than that. If that makes sense.
