You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Smart quotes are what happens when a program like Word converts pairs of normal keyboard quotation marks to the 66 99 style quotation marks.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Well, so much for composing long posts in Word. Or at least, leave the quotes out until I put it in the posting box. Thanks!

You can turn off smart quotes in Word. It's an option somewhere.

Found it and turned off. Thanks, DX. I had no idea there was a difference.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I've turned off smart quotes in Word because they make HTML unhappy. It's under Format | Autoformat | Options.

Our wings are not tired.

Ah, I knew they had to be replaced, but didn't know how to turn them off. Cool, and thanks.

I don't know where the right place for this is, but... I can't make the links at Cafe Press work (from the link Jessica posted in Press earlier). I've tried two browsers, but every time I click on a particular item, I get a "Product Not Found" message. Am I alone in not being allowed to order Buffista swag? Why am I being persecuted??!?

Er. I mean, is anyone else having this issue?
