The writer in question did register, but didn't know where to post. If s/he had posted, all you would have seen was the username which would have given you no clue as to the real name.

Got it. As is custom, you may want to wear a tagline intro for a bit to denote the name change. Although this one isn't major, not likely to cause much befuddlement.
