SA, the legal/crime ones seem cut and dry - they're pretty much all procedurals, but could could you elaborate on the medical ones? Would GA not be included even though it does have cases of the week? It's too soap-opera-y I think someone mentioned?

Ya know, I'd be inclined to separate out medical from legal procedurals. I think it'd be a better conversation.
By Procedural I exclusively mean mystery of the week. In my opinion, House follows that formula strongly, but Grey's doesn't--Grey's is far more of a soap opera than it is a MOTW. Like, Crossing Jordan? That's a MOTW, with a medical twist. Grey's is a drama/soap.
That's why I'd include House, and others with a promeniently MOTW format, over shunting Med shows to another thread. I mean, Med shows could feasibly include Scrubs, and ER, but I can't think of others, and I don't think it's strong enough to support its own thread. MOTW shows are a recurring show type that has an obvious format, with enough shows to support a thread and discussion. IMO.
I agree. I was thinking that under that definition, Veronica Mars would go under Procedurals since it does have Mysteries of the Week. It's just that they're never the point, really.
The Law and Order family and their multiple clones are easier to define. (Would Monk and Psych go in there too, I guess? Likely.)
Thanks, SA. I figured Grey's wouldn't fit there, I was just hoping.
I'll third the proposal.
Monk and Psych are both Cable Dramas, PC.
NCIS would go in Procedurals, and Bones would.
Fourth.
Fifth.
Is it four people? Or five? I always forget.
We need one more, I think.
