"Lover's Walk"

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Um, the episode where Cordelia gets impaled and they fakeout her funeral at the end. I can't remember the name any more.

That would be "Lover's Walk."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Okay, I had to go look at that first thread. I'm getting severe whiplash from seeing all of those names.

My first post was #442, which was a year and a half into the thread life.

And another thing that always amuses me -- someone spoiled "Becoming, Part I" before it aired.

Oh, and a spoiler for the season finale:

Supposedly, Angel gets his soul back. Hmmm. Hope they'll do something more with Oz -- he wasn't in it last week, and there wasn't much with Cordelia, either.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Dana forgot "Lover's Walk," neener, neener! (I always remember that Dana was here longest, 'cause she was one of the pivotal people who caused me to stick around. Spicy brains!)

Agnes barely posted, actually. I think she was just happy to not be the only, ahem, Watcher, and that was pretty much it. Not that I was there. But there were archives.

I agree with ita that once a lurker has touched the corpus in one way or another, they're not a lurker. Those are the people I want to accommodate. The rest of them, while they may be perfectly lovely human beings, are Schroedinger's lurkers, and we can't know what they want until they...open the posting box.

Gee. I wonder how far I could extend that metaphor? I'd better stop now before it involves tails and catfood and dangerously toxic cat scratching posts.

Art Crawl!!!

Dana, I totally am going back to the first thread too. I came in on the 4th thread - season 5.

Agnes hardly ever posted, did she?

And so few names that I recognize in that thread.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I was a lurker at TT.

I delurked at WX, after Jilli told me where you were hiding.

(We didn't know each other that well, but were sitting near each other at dinner after a gothy thrifting event. She mentioned Buffy. I mentioned loving Buffy, and being sad that there just wasn't Buffy talk on Salon any more. She told me where the bunker was at. It's all her fault.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd like to think we're closer to the same page now. No one has mystical plans to account for the unknowable,

I'm not sure what's next, though.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I named the third TT thread. I'd be more proud if it weren't a lame name.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I joined in the fourth thread, and started the fifth thread. Didn't name it, just put it up. Which involved porn and a kerfluffle over the placement of a period inside of quote marks, which has scarred me to this day, causing me to be wildly inconsistent with my punctuation.

Visilurking

once a lurker has touched the corpus

Nothing to add - I just love this turn of phrase.
