I mostly lurk, so I thought I'd give y'all a lurker perspective, and this is: Wolfram is so right in that we're sort of *your* fans. I don't post much because a) I don't have a lot of time to spend here, so most comments in my brain are to old posts, and b) I don't feel I could ever be as witty as you guys are, so I'm a little reluctanct to post and sound like a moron. Since I don't post much, I'm pretty content to let you more-active folks make the decisions around here; I definitely don't feel like my wants should be taken into account when I'm not participating much.

Una, FWIW, please don't be afraid to post because you think you'd sound like a moron. The thing is, most of us feel like we sound like morons and yet we post anyway. That's the only difference.
True dat.
And everyone feels like most of their posts get ignored!
Seriously. I always feel like the dimmest bulb in the room, here.
Oh, please.
That is totally me.
Not to mention, Una, it takes practice to be witty. And experience to be wise.
Lurkers who want to break the ice might want to offer birthday or anniversary wishes, or ~ma or hugs. It's painless, and it's the thought that counts.
Not that I took that advice. It literally took 9/11 to get me to leave lurkerdom.
Others of us just jumped in blindly and flailed around until we figured out what was going on. Not that I recommend that strategy. Luckily people were kind.
Luckily people were kind.
Because you handed out money right off the bat!
Damn, so it was all bribery?
