All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

For me, I knew Ukrane, Belarus and the Baltics were all in Russia, but East of that was where I though Asia started.

I think you mean Europe. Otherwise that's the kind of talk that could start a land war in Asia Europe Eurasia wherever.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I went back and edited to make brenda look crazy.

Yes, I meant Europe.

Right now, I'm blaming Asia Minor.

I mean, really.... the Asian "subcontinent"? What kind of a crazy thing is that? You're either a continent or you're not. Get it together over there, people!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Love His Girl Friday!

Fave Hepburn/Tracy movie would be Woman of the Year. Yeah, the end isn't going to win any awards for feminism and they had Kate be too hard-assed at times, but damn she was at the height of her beauty and her craft. Swoon!

Hey. New board.

According to Yahoo Answers...

The most famous of the "classic blunders" mentioned by Vizzini in the Princess Bride - "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - was reputedly advice given by General Douglas MacArthur to President John F. Kennedy, in 1961.

So... possibly all of the above.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think I just heard meeping and flailing from up near Seattle.

Not that I'm not meeping and flailing (and envying) a bit myself.

Punishingly Intricate

Coraline = AWESOME.

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to see it. The ads are so scary to me!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to see it. The ads are so scary to me!

Here's how you do it.

1. Fly out to San Francisco.

2. Go see it with me at the Kabuki in the upper balcony where...

3. You can buy cocktails to watch your movie, and...

4. You jump and clutch my arm as I do the same to you when we are a-skeered.
