Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

They have the best screen duo chemistry in the universe. This is only a slight case of hyperbole.

True words. They're up there with Clooney/Pitt (Soderbergh edition).

They look vaguely familiar, but I haven't seen anything they've been in. But I trust the hivemind.

ETA: Dupond and Dupont are way more important to me than Haddock.

I'll bring Hot Fuzz with me when I come to SF.

I believe TiVo has done your job for you.

megan, rent the Spaced dvds! You'll get to see Simon Pegg at his best, and Nick Frost is wonderful in his first acting gig (he was Pegg's roomie and a waiter, and Pegg had to convince the director that Frost would be perfect in the role, which he was).

Also, Spaced just happens to be the best sitcom of the past ten years, possibly twenty.

Also, if you get BBCAmerica, you can see Nick Frost in Kinky Boots tonight.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Kinky Boots tonight.

I was SO impressed with Chiwetel Ejiofor in that.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Kinky Boots tonight.

I was SO impressed with Chiwetel Ejiofor in that.

Looking at that IMDB entry for Nick Frost, it looks like he did act before Spaced, but Mike was probably his first speaking role on film.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I am totally confident that Andy Serkis can do Captain Haddock. Well, that he can do anything he sets his mind to, actually, but he was great as the salty old sailor bloke in King Kong. Albeit not so much with the beardiness.

I less than three Andy Serkis. Also Pegg and Frost. So it looks like I'm going to want to see Tin Tin after all!
