Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

This cute older lady just came to the box office and said, "OK I want to fall in love today; one senior for Twilight. "

Oh, as usual, dear.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

After seeing Nobel Son today I can highly recommend it to anyone who likes somewhat dark and quirky caper movies.

It made me worry for Eliza Dushku though. Girl needs to eat a burger or ten.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I love any kind of caper movie.

Also, I think Mary Steenbergen is staying young by draining the life energy out of Ted Danson like that vampire chick in Lifeforce. She's aged about 5 years in the last 15, and he now looks like the Cryptkeeper.

Hmm, this would also explain how Macolm McDowell got so old so fast.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I love any kind of caper movie.

I blame my love for caper films on the fact that The Sting was my first grown-up movie, which I saw in the theater when I was seven. It gave me a lifelong love of caper films, period films, ragtime, Robert Redford, and Paul Newman.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I really liked Zack and Miri Make Porno, significantly more than I thought I would.

I think I want to date Seth Rogen, wtf.

Art Crawl!!!

T:S trailer is interesting. do you think that perhaps John Connor was sent forward to the future? Or possibly has amnesia?
