Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Hee! My sister is taking her stepdaughter and three friends to the theater tonight, to be followed by the girl's first ever sleepover.

(Sad thing to say that a 14-year-old has never had a sleepover before, but her mom is a huge PITA about things like that, apparently, which is a big reason said stepdaughter came to live with her dad and my sister this fall.)

“Not dead yet!”

And as long as I'm pimping - Twilight review.

Tell you husband wonderful review and that on behalf of romance and YA and oh hell, all writers everywhere, I apologize.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I kind of want to see that movie, but I'm afraid it won't be as utterly gawdawful as I'm hoping for. Off to check out the review.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It made $7 million from midnight showings alone.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The exiting tweeners are talking about how it wasn't like the book.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm totally going to see it.

“Not dead yet!”

But are you going to squeal?

ETA: In all honesty, I'm curious-- but I can't cope with the thought of going to see it in a theatre with the screeching adolescents. Maybe in a few weeks after the fervor and the T-giving holidays have passed.

Yes, in our local school district the kids are off all week. Your best bet is waiting until Monday the 1st.

I've liked Hardwicke's other films and I haven't read the book. I'ma go see it.

But are you going to squeal?

I don't think I could if I wanted to.

I suspect I'll go to a matinee. Mayhap fewer tweens, since going to an afternoon movie would be LAME.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I really want to go see it with a bunch of buffistas and snark and laugh.
