'Why We Fight'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

My first thought upon viewing "When The Levees Broke" is that Spike finally found an outrage where his level of anger is completely appropriate. My second was how much I love Wendell Pierce. But then all Wire fans should think that anyway.
le nubian - don't you know about ita's links??!!??
apparently not, sumi.
(slapping hand against forehead)
Okay - I don't have much love for TH (mostly based on the Jezebel article ita linked above), but isn't Cheadle a bit... wee (IMDB says 5'8 1/2", which I doubt, and TH is listed as 6')? And isn't Rhodes supposed to be kind of big? I have no doubt that Cheadle can bulk up (have seen it, and boy that's nice), but...
Then again, TH really can be a jackass:
"I would prefer to wait for the third [Iron Man film to become War Machine]," Howard told ComingSoon.net back in April. "I'd prefer to let it grow a little bit and then after the third one, they could go into its own franchise of War Machine later on. I don't want to introduce War Machine too early for my own monetary benefits."
Co-star Renee Zellweger said Mortensen and his eight-gauge became inseparable.
"He had it everywhere, all day, every day," Zellweger said. "There's a scene that's not in the film where he carries my luggage out of the diner, the cafe, and he had to figure out a way to open the door, grab the suitcases, close the door, and all the while hold that gun."
s /gun/sword and s /Appaloosa/Lord of the Rings.
Hell, you could even substitute his horse from LotR for the gun.
I wonder if he bought the horse from this movie too.
Holy shit! Doug Jones was one of the Gentlemen? That guy has played some of the scariest critters I've seen in modern times at this point (and of course, one big ass woobie in Abe Sapian).
