Still hate what they did to the end but lordy, did they cast child Briony perfectly.
I think she's the lead in the new City of Ember.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Yep. Saoirse Ronan.
Is Shadow of the Bat the title of the 3rd Bale/Nolan Bats movie?
(I got a google alert that mentioned it - and I had not heard the title before.)
No one has confirmed that they're even doing a third one yet.
With The Dark Knight being the #2 domestic earner of all time, I have a feeling it's just a matter of time and trucks full of money lobbed at Nolan before he signs on for the next one.
I thought he planned out a trilogy and that the issue is what will happen after the 3rd movie. I think a 3rd movie is a done deal.

Of course, the Joker may have been part of that plan, which may bollocks things up. I really hope if he was, that Nolan figures another way to do it, because I really don't want to see anyone else in that role now.
Even if he were part of the original plan, across both of the movies, Batman is fighting villain(s) who are interested in anarchy and causing havoc. So it wouldn't be a stretch for him to have yet another villain in the 3rd movie who would be focused on such.
The rumors I remember hearing the most actively in the wake of the release were for The Riddler and if you could get the right actor-- one who could be a cool, measured, intellectual counterpart to Batman with a nice dose of the craxy, I think that's the best route to take after the sheer, off-the-wall anarchy of Joker.
I could get behind that with Nolan doing it, but definitely a tricky charcter to get just right.
