Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Maybe they figured suspended was open to too many interpretaions and they didn't want to translate it as hanging and have people think of nooses. The fortress in the movie is up in the trees. It's pretty awesome.

It's pretty awesome.

The movie, or the fortress?

The movie is like the best after school special ever. The fortress is friggin' sweet.

edit: my biggest issue is not having a choice on the language.

Was there a French audio option, just with no subtitles? Or was there only the dubbed version?

Am I crazy or was Catherine Keener the flight attendant in Forgetting Sarah Marshall ?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think you might be crazy. I don't remember that.

I'm not crazy! Although I did suffer a brief moment of panic this morning when I went through the scene selection menu and there was no scene on the plane. Turns out she's only in the extended version. She has two lines but her voice is unmistakeable.

Aha! That explains it.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I saw Rachel Getting Married yesterday. I love me some old-school Jonathan Demme. How cool is it that he got Robyn Hitchcock, Sister Carol and Roger Corman listed in the opening credits?
