Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The only thing that could be better were if the guy who made Pan's Labyrinth got tapped. Or maybe he could be the one to make the inevitable sequel, which hasn't been nearly made as often and is arguably darker.

Did you all imagine the sorts of high-pitched glee sounds I made at that news? Because, eeeee!

Oh, Jilli, I saw this and it made me think of you and now I've been reminded to link you to it!

Oh, that's AWESOME. She made that? With stickers, from what I've gleaned from the comments. Oh ... dear. I sense a whole new level of crafting insanity looming before me. I must go do research. Um, after I turn in my manuscript on Monday. Yes. Not being distracted, that's me.

EDIT: and she takes orders for custom pieces! Oh dear. A custom GCS swirlybat locket may be in my future.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I was getting all prepped to be annoyed that Bruckheimer is considering Johnny Depp for Tonto (and rumors have Clooney as The Lone Ranger) but I looked it up and he is part Cherokee, still I bet it's a wee part and Silverheels was all (Canadian) Mohawk.

Always Anti-fascist!

Much as I love Johnny Depp, that sounds cheesy to me. Find an Indian actor.

Strega - Sep 25, 2008 1:15:49 pm PDT #8205 of 10000

I thought that was definite (the Tonto role).

Didn't he do an indie years back where he played a Native American?

ETA: Aha. The Brave, which he directed.
