My brother and his family went East in September. I figured that they had just randomly decided to visit family (which they did) but actually - my SIL Mary had a screenplay entered in the DC Shorts film festival. And it won!
If only I had known - I could have announced it so that DCistas could go check it out.
Man, my family does NOT communicate. Check out where my s-i-l's other movie is screening:

Those are the three that are coming up - but that movie had been to some exciting places.
The next Superman film will ignore the 2006 film and be a reboot. Warner hasn't said whether or not Bryan Singer will be involved.
Did we know about this? [link]
That is beyond a doubt the most eccentric cast I've seen on a movie in a long time.
It just played at the local film fest. Reviews were pretty mixed.

That's too bad. I mean, when I think "rock opera" the very first thing I think is "I wish the producers of
Saw
would get behind that!"
(Yes. I'll see it. Of course. ASH! Plus, Alexa Vega was actually pretty good in Hairspray on Broadway, so I'm interested in seeing her do something like this.)
I wonder if anyone explained to Paul Sorvino that "rock opera" is something different than "opera".
