Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

If someone listed THX-1138 among their favorite movies on a dating site would you think they genuinely enjoyed it or would you think they were being pretentious?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Lucas fanboy? Were Star Wars, and possibly American Graffiti also listed?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Why is Jamie Lee Curtis in "Beverly Hills Chihuaha"? God in heaven, why?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Why is Edward James Olmos? Why is anyone?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Your question is not of the proper scope. The correct question is "Why is Beverly Hills Chihuahua, God in heaven, why?".

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think they needed the work and the money? Or they thought it would be funny and it just wasn't

Oh, god, I didn't know that.

Maybe he just wanted something light-hearted after BSG. And...Jamie Lee Curtis was tired of doing yogurt commercials about digestive health.

(I got to shake EJO's hand at Dragon*Con. Envy me.)

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

my niece thinks that movie looks funny. of course, she's four and also calls them huahuachias, which is totally adorable.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I saw the trailer for Beverly Hills Chihuahua and it did look funny.

Sometimes trailers lie, but it looked better than say...the recent live action Underdog.
