Yes. After I read the book, which has an almost completely different third act (if the book even has any sense of traditional plot structure at all), I decided to like them both as separate entities because I really liked the movie...possibly more, in some cases.

I love Totoro, but it pushes some particular buttons of mine very hard, so I always spend part of the movie crying. Which is why I prefer to watch Kiki's Delivery Service more.
