I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

sumi, all that shit is clearly just rumors. We haven't even gotten an official title for a third movie from Nolan's camp. Hell, I don't think he's even committed to a third movie officially.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Johnny Depp as the Riddler. . .

I'd watch that. They wouldn't even need to include Batman.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey now! Gary and Heath and sometimes Aaron get all the love, but I want to stand up for Christian. I love his emo little self and the darkness of his knight (could they have said "White knight" more times in the movie? Even I got it.)

I've got no problem with Bale's Batman. I'd argue his version is far and away the best of the lot, even in the latest movie (which I liked, didn't love, but not due to anything Bale did. Actually, the lack of focus on Bale's Bat was part of my problem with it). But I'd love love love to see what Depp would do with the Riddler.

I think George Clooney would have had a shot in a decent movie at being The Batman, but he didn't, so Bale's my favourite Batman and Bruce Wayne by far. And so compellingly pretty.

You know, when I saw it in IMAX this past Sunday, the theatre was so full I was in row 3 all the way out to the edge. Only about 15 seats free, if that. Month and a half later, almost.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I saw it on IMAX in Chicago last Monday, at a 4PM show. I think it was sold out.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think everyone wants to see this on Imax, and I'd also bet that anyone seeing it more than once is going to try to catch it on Imax the second time if they can.

Art Crawl!!!

I need to see it again.

Strega - Aug 26, 2008 10:41:35 am PDT #7857 of 10000

I want to see it again, but I don't care about IMAX, and I'm certainly not going into DC just for that when there's a theater 2 miles away.
