Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Man, I really like this movie unreasonably, but I know that there are reasons for it, mostly including 1) Gene Kelly being awesome, 2) rollerskating, and 3) I loved this movie when I was a kid and even though I hadn't seen it in a good ten years I still knew all the words to the songs.
But... yeah. It's not very good.

note to self: "need" != actual physical need
I am very happy that my dog ate one of my favorite bath books (a Georgette Heyer). I went to order a replacement, and as happens when one visits Amazon, my eyes wandered and I ended up with the remastered DVD of Diva on the order. OMG, I love that movie to pieces.
