Anything Coen or Cronenberg is a must see for me, so I'd say both (and I liked both movies a lot, though Naomi's character in EP has some serious naivete issues - I suspect Jess would say "too stupid to live issues"; I didn't have quite that many problems, especially when it involves her disregarding her uncle).
Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
If you'd like to be very tense for about 2 hours, I definitely recommend it.
All movie reviews should contain this kind of information.
Hey, folks we've got Netflix now. I've missed a ton of not-kid movies in the last several years.
Have you seen Waitress? If not I'd recommend it highly. Especially if viewed when you've been feeling down. Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day and Persepolis were also very good.
Oh yeah, Waitress and Persepolis were both on my list. And Miss Pettigrew is Frances McDormand, right? I forgot about that one.
I wasn't impressed with Eastern Promises. No Country for Old Men was very well done and Javier Bardem plays an excellent serial killer
in other news, i went to see Wall-E tonight with my parents and niece. we all loved it. so adorable it hurts. if you're worried about taking a small child, don't. my niece is almost 4 and she barely even moved and all of the other kids were really well behaved too.
Loved Persepolis. And still regret that I only bought the first two volumes when I was last in Paris.

Oh good, I was just going to ask if it was okay for a 5-year truck-loving boy who hasn't seen too much in the theater. It doesn't have any super sad points does it?
It doesn't have any super sad points does it?
no, i think a 5-year truck-loving boy will love it. what's not to love about robots?
what's not to love about robots?
Well, this was my point, but, since he hasn't gone to the movies too much and he can be a little sensitive, I think his mom was worried about the Disney effect.
