Course they do. I see it as a life like storytelling device. So very often we as people are denied, oftentimes through no action of our own, our happies.
Huh. I never even considered body image issues in the Tourist Who Can't Get His Ice Cream. I was happily chuckling at a well-worn comedy trope.
He could have been a thin schlump, but you never see the pretty people being denied their goodies. It's always the hang-dog guy or the fat guy--the one you're allowed to make fun of.
