and if that wasn't enough to drive the farmers nuts... from the imdb goofs page:
A tractor appears in various scenes. The rear tires on the tractor are on backwards - the tread for tractor tires is designed to push mud out away from the tire when rotating forwards, to keep the treads from filling with mud. These tires would pull mud into the tread, making the tire slick and useless in deep mud.
We'll expect regular reports.
I never see anyone. I went out trying to stalk Tim Roth a couple of weeks ago and I only found crew building a set.
Alan Rickman fans need to watch this trailer, or at least fast-forward for the last line.
It's Dreamworks in this case. And the funny thing is that there is a pregnant cow in the plot. She has her baby at the end of the film so there is a distinct difference between male and female cow characters.
i.e. Somebody fucked her.
Sophia is right, Barnyard's creators thought it would be funny.
Then in one particular case (mine), they failed because...TRANNY COW?!
I have nothing against trannies, but...TRANNY COW?!
How is that funny to kids? Eventually, they will learn enough about animal biology (and probably earlier than parents want to think) and go "Mommy...Daddy...WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?!"
At which time the parents will have to say: "Well, child, the creators thought it would be funny. Let's move on to the subject of 'Hollywood = Insanity', shall we?"
In the end, I suppose everyone learns a valuable lesson, but I would be squicked beyond
belief
to see the Movie of the Week on
that
subject.
In my quest for more Robert Downey Jr. goodness I rented
A Scanner Darkly,
which, not only was RDJ fabulous, even/especially rotoscoped, but the movie was quite good as well, even if I'm still hazy on some of the plot points regarding the revelation at the end. I'd say that Woody Harrelson and RDJ stole the show, what a (sometimes disturbing) hoot!
edited to fix parentheses
A Scanner Darkly is indeed really great.
I don't know how to break this to you: in
Babe the Gallant Pig,
Babe the character is actually male. (This is explicit in the book, with the pronouns and everything.) But they filmed it with female piglets (several staggered litters of them, because they grow so fast), because so many of the shots are from the rear, and a closeup of a piglet's testicles were decided to be too distracting for a children's movie.
(Babe's voice was supplied by a woman, but that's kind of typical for animated boy-characters -- see also Bart Simpson.)
Babe's voice was supplied by a woman
Not just any woman! The Great Christine Cavanaugh!
She also did Chuckie on Rugrats, and Oblina on Real Monsters, and Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory.
eta:
And Gosalyn from Darkwing Duck.
And she was also in an X-Files episode.
Apparently she's retired since 2001 for "personal reasons." which makes me suspect either a religious conversion or cancer. I hope the personal reason was: "I made a shitload of money in Hollywood and now I want to hit all the cool garage sales."
eta:
Internet rumors suggest it was parenthood that lead to her retirement.
