People back then just didn't realize what they were capable of.
Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I guess boobies became more dangerous over time
Definitely, since I remember seeing boobies watching Monty Python on PBS.
Not to mention the "nobody panic" scene in Airplane.
it might have been the boobies that drew me to Monty Python in the first place.
I've met the actress who was the first girl killed in Jaws.
So there's that.
Well, that was ass rather than boobies.
TV too. "I Claudius" miniseries had a number of bare boobs. It was a BBC import of course, but PBS ran it as was, tits and all.
If that's referring to the fan film Batman: Dead End then you should watch it. It is AWESOME!
Fucken A, Bubba!

They showed the T&A, but they did cut out some of the more egregious blood-and-guts. The scene I remember being edited otu was after Caligula (love John Hurt!!) cut the fetus from his sister's womb and ate it. All PBS showed was Claudius opening the door and retreating in horror, whereas the full version had Caligula meeting him at the door with blood smeared around his mouth.

That must have been your local PBS station's decision, because I distinctly remember the scene where Hurt had blood on his mouth, and I've only seen it on PBS.
Staring at my netflix arrivals and agonizing over what the watch tonight:
Gone Baby Gone
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Revolver
