I haven't seen
Holes,
but have seen Shia in
Transformers
about 10 times, and he's awesome. Just tons of charisma. Main reason I want to see Indy.
Because, while I take some weird pride in my hometown showing up in movies, I also know it's going to mean sucky plotline.

What the hell was Dave Foley thinking
Did I read somewhere that Boll's films always come in on time and under budget? Maybe if you don't have any other work on the horizon and you don't care too much about your career it seems like decent work for decent pay.
What can also happen is that you sign up for a film with a different director and different script and then the studio decides to make the project "better." And you've got a contract that could screw up future work if you break it.
Or maybe Boll has mind-control powers. It could happen.
Interview with Christian Bale at Details -- no spoilers for anything, it's about his whole career.
This is my favorite:
I was at the Science Museum in London with my daughter and some of her friends, and they wanted hot dogs. And so I went up to a hot-dog stand and I said, "Can I have three hot dogs?" They said, "I'm sorry, we're closed." And so I started walking away. And then one of them said, "Excuse me, are you Batman?" And I said, "Well, I play Batman." And they said, "Well, here's three hot dogsāon the house." That's pretty remarkable, isn't it?

So. New Mummy movie coming out. On the plus side -- directed by Rob Cohen, not Stephen Summers. Cohen's had some stinkers, but has also had some really good movies (Dragon: the Bruce Lee Story leaps to mind). And John Hannah is back for this one.
On the I Don't Know side -- Do we really need another Mummy movie? Plus, Evey won't be played by Rachel Weisz.
On the plus side, Evey will be played by Maria Bello instead (though I liked Evey as a brunette, thanks).
I saw the doc Young@Heart last night and, as calculated, was completely charmed.
There was a bit of the Look!CuteCodgers! and Woe!theMortality that I feared, but in between those bits, I loved watching the personalities at play. Nicely done, docu.
