Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Heart and Souls did include the obligatory romcom cliche of "Let's all sing a song together!"

Obligatory? For real? For something that sounds so terribly painful, maybe I just blocked it from all the other romcoms, because it doesn't feel prevalent to me.

It was very well done in this one, though.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, the only other one that comes to mind is My Best Friend's Wedding.

It was very torturous there, for real.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

ION, Christian Bale is signed up for three Terminator films.

Whoa! Looks like someone got bitten by the Hollywood action movie bug. Five years ago I never would have guessed that I'd be seeing Bale in a bunch of movies with fights and explosions.

Radiohead Post-Apocalyptic Alt-Rock Opera.

Thirty complete RADIOHEAD songs, played one after another, replace the regular audio of 1976 sci-fi futurist fantasy LOGAN'S RUN. The 17 parts in sequence cover the whole thing.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Stepmother (with Susan Sarandon) had a song, as did The First Wives Club, and I'm sure there are others I can't remember.
