Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Another RDJ movie I loved in all its sappy wonder is Heart and Souls.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Thirding or fourthing Soapdish. Which also features manic Sally Field.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Thirding or fourthing Soapdish. Which also features manic Sally Field.

And one of the too few films that Cathy Moriarity was in.

I forgot about Heart and Souls. That is one of my favorite movies, I cried like a baby.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Why didn't I mention Heart and Souls last night? It's the only one of RDJr's films I have at home. I seriously love that film, and it does a great job of showcasing his genius at physical humor and imitation (I love when Alfre Woodard steps into him--he really turns into her!). Between RDJr, Kyra Sedgwick, Woodard, and Charles Grodin, it's an excellent cast (and I'm not even including Elisabeth Shue and Tom Sizemore, who are decent at best in their performances).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's days like this when I become exceedingly jealous of DH's job. Nobody ever sends me a chocolate gun...

Nope, just the SD version. (We don't have a BR player anyway, so it's just as well.)
